Every action a Mailboard AI email sticker supports — open, reply, delete, favourite a sender, mark a sender promotional, and the needle that marks an email read and removes the sticker.
Reading & Clearing Email Stickers
Summary
Each important email is shown as a sticky note pinned to the cork board. The note displays the received date, the subject, the sender, and an AI-written one-line summary, all tinted in the inbox's colour and held by a coloured needle. A red needle means the email is unread; a yellow needle means it has been read. Every sticker offers inline actions to open, reply, delete, favourite or block its sender, and — the core gesture — to mark the email read by moving its needle, which removes the sticker from the board.
Features
- The needle — drag the needle downward to mark the email as read and remove its sticker from the board. (Depending on your settings the underlying email may also be deleted — see Settings.)
- Needle colour — red = unread, yellow = read; a brand-new sticker pins in orange and a just-arrived email (within ~30 minutes) pins in yellow.
- Open — opens the full email in a reader dialog where you can read the whole message, copy text, reply, and "Mark as read and remove from board".
- Reply — jumps straight to the reply composer for this email (see Composing & replying with AI).
- Delete — removes the email (per your delete settings) and takes the sticker off the board.
- Star (favourite sender) — toggles the sender in your favourites; favourite senders are always treated as important and can be filtered to on the board.
- Block (mark sender as promotional) — flags the sender as promotional, removes the sticker, and stops future emails from that sender being pinned. (Hidden for favourite senders.)
- Drag to pin — drag the body of a sticker (date / subject / summary area) into the Pinned panel to move it into a focus section. The needle and the action icons are not drag handles.
- Inbox colour — the sticker's tint identifies which inbox the email came from; the colour is configurable per inbox.
Scenarios
Read an email and clear it
- Tap Open on the sticker to read the full message.
- Read (and copy anything you need); the email is marked read.
- Tap Mark as read and remove from board, or close the reader and move the needle down to clear the sticker.
Quickly mark read without opening
- Drag the sticker's needle downward.
- The needle turns yellow, the email is marked read, and the sticker falls away.
Stop a marketing sender from cluttering the board
- Tap the block (mark-promotional) icon on a sticker from that sender.
- The sticker is removed and the sender is added to your blacklist.
- Future emails from that sender are classified promotional and stay off the board.
Make sure a sender is never filtered out
- Tap the star icon on any sticker from that sender.
- The sender is added to favourites and will always be pinned as important.
- Use the board favourites only filter to see just these senders.
