When we released the awaBerry Remote file browser in version 1.3, we described it as a step toward a truly zero-trust device access experience. Today, we take that experience significantly further: the file browser is now AI-powered.
Ask for File Summaries
Reading through long log files, configuration documents, or data exports is time-consuming. Now, you can click any file in the browser and ask the AI to summarise its contents. Whether it is a 5,000-line application log or a dense JSON configuration, you get a clear, concise summary in seconds — without having to download the file or open a terminal.
This is particularly useful when you are quickly auditing a device, checking the output of a scheduled job, or reviewing configuration drift across multiple machines.
Ask AI to Write File Contents
Need to create or update a configuration file, a cron job definition, or a shell script? Describe what the file should contain in plain English and the AI will generate the content for you. You review it, make any adjustments, and write it directly to the device — all from your browser.
Generate Scripts on Demand
Script generation is where the smart file browser becomes particularly powerful for developers and system administrators. Describe the task you need to automate — "a script that checks disk usage hourly and sends an alert if usage exceeds 80 percent" — and the AI produces a ready-to-run shell script. Save it to your device, mark it executable, and schedule it, without ever leaving the awaBerry Remote interface.
Powered by Your Google Studio Key
Like the Smart Terminal, the AI features in the file browser use your own Google Studio API Key, configured once in the awaBerry User Menu. All AI requests go directly from the awaBerry agent to the Gemini API using your credentials — nothing is proxied through our servers.
Full documentation for the AI file browser features is available in the User Manual. We are eager to hear how you are using it — let us know via our contact form.
