Possible errors which may occur on this page

While using the Devices Overview page, you might encounter the following situations:

Incorrect Deletion Confirmation for Your Own Device

  • Scenario: You attempt to delete one of your connected devices, but you mistype the confirmation word.
  • Why it happens: This is a security feature. The system requires you to accurately type 'delete' to prevent accidental removal of your devices. If you type anything else, the system will not proceed with the deletion.
  • What you'll see: After clicking 'Delete' in the confirmation window, a small message will appear at the bottom of the screen, stating, 'Please type 'delete' to confirm device deletion.'
  • How to fix: Simply reopen the deletion confirmation, type 'delete' precisely, and confirm again.

Failure to Load Devices or Shared Projects

  • Scenario: When you open the Devices Overview page, or after clicking 'Refresh', instead of seeing your device lists, you see an error message like 'Error loading shared devices' or 'Error loading projects'.
  • Why it happens: This usually indicates a temporary problem with your internet connection or with the awaBerry service. The application couldn't retrieve the necessary device information from our servers.
  • What you'll see: An error message, often accompanied by a red icon, and a 'Retry' button.
  • How to fix: First, check your internet connection. If it's working, click the 'Retry' button. If the problem persists, it might be a temporary service issue; try again after a few minutes.
