Account Management -> Register a new account

Register a new account

Summary

This page is where you can create your personal user account to start using the application. You have two main options for registration: using your email address and creating a password, or using your existing Google account for a quicker sign-up. Before finalizing your registration, you will need to agree to the terms of service and verify that you are not a robot.

If you have already selected a plan or device, these details will be displayed at the top of the page to confirm your choices during the registration process.

Page Functionalities

Account Registration Options

  • Google Sign-Up Button: A prominent button that allows you to register using your existing Google account. Clicking this will redirect you to Google to authenticate and then return you to the application.
  • Email and Password Registration: This section allows you to create an account by providing an email address and a new password.

Email and Password Registration Fields

  • Email Address Field: Enter your desired email address here. This will be your username for logging into the application.
  • "Check the box - human verification" Section: This is an anti-robot verification step. You must complete this verification, usually by interacting with a checkbox or a small puzzle, to prove you are a human user.
  • Password Field: Enter a new password for your account. It must be at least eight characters long to ensure security.
  • Retype Password Field: Enter your chosen password again to confirm it. This helps prevent typos.
  • "I agree to the Terms of Service" Checkbox: You must check this box to indicate that you have read and agreed to the application's Terms of Service. A link to the Terms of Service is provided next to the checkbox.

Buttons and Links

  • "Register new account" Button: After filling in all required fields and accepting the terms, click this button to finalize your account registration.
  • "Login with an existing account" Link: If you already have an account, you can click this link to go to the login page instead of registering a new one.

Information Display

  • Selected Plan (if applicable): If you initiated the registration process after selecting a subscription plan, details of that plan will be shown here.
  • Selected Device (if applicable): Similar to the plan, if you selected a specific device during a preceding step, its information will be displayed here.
  • Error Message Area: Any issues or errors during the registration process (e.g., invalid email, passwords not matching) will be displayed in a red box at the top of the registration form.

Possible errors which may occur on this page

If you encounter issues during registration, the following are common reasons and how to address them:

  • Error: "Please enter a valid email."
    • Why it happens: The email address you entered is either empty or not in a standard email format (e.g., missing '@' or a domain).
    • How to fix: Double-check your email entry for typos and ensure it's a complete, valid email address.
  • Error: "Please complete the 'Not a robot' verification to continue." or "Error in not human validation."
    • Why it happens: You have not completed the human verification challenge, or the system detected an issue with your verification.
    • How to fix: Make sure you interact with the 'Check the box - human verification' section as prompted. If the error persists, try refreshing the page or restarting the app if possible.
  • Error: "Password, at least eight characters long."
    • Why it happens: The password you entered is too short or does not meet the minimum complexity requirements.
    • How to fix: Choose a password that is at least eight characters long and includes a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols for better security.
  • Error: "Entered passwords must be equal."
    • Why it happens: The password you entered in the 'Your password' field does not exactly match the one you typed in the 'Retype your password' field.
    • How to fix: Carefully re-enter your password in both fields, ensuring they are identical. You can use the 'Show/Hide password' icon (an eye icon) to visually confirm your entries.
  • Error: "Please accept the terms."
    • Why it happens: You have not checked the 'I agree to the Terms of Service' checkbox.
    • How to fix: Read the Terms of Service (by clicking the link) and then check the box to indicate your agreement.
  • Error: "Sign-up failed."
    • Why it happens: This is a general error indicating that the account registration could not be completed. This might occur if an account with your email already exists, or due to a temporary issue with the registration service.
    • How to fix: If you suspect you already have an account, try the 'Login with an existing account' link. Otherwise, double-check all your entries, ensure you completed human verification and accepted terms, and try again. If the problem persists, you may need to contact support.
