Distributed Model Training

Single machine: Upload training dataset and script via Agentic API. Smart Automation triggers execution, polls for completion, downloads the checkpoint, and archives it.

Parallel sweep: Smart Automation fans out different configurations (learning rate, batch size) across multiple GPU machines via Agentic API simultaneously. Results are collected and ranked automatically into a comparison CSV.

Continuous training: Nightly — pull new labeled data, upload to the training machine via Agentic API, fine-tune the checkpoint, replace the production model file if validation accuracy improves.

LLM Inference on Private Hardware

Cost avoidance: Route inference requests to a local machine running Ollama or vLLM via Agentic API instead of paying cloud token costs. Smart Automation handles prompt templating, result retrieval, and downstream storage.

Private data compliance: For sensitive data (legal, medical, financial), Smart Automation sends documents to an on-prem LLM server via Agentic API — data never leaves your infrastructure.

Multi-model routing: Smart Automation decides which model to call based on task type, distributing load across multiple inference machines via Agentic API.

Hyperparameter & Experiment Management

Upload experiment configs (YAML/JSON) to compute nodes via Agentic API. Smart Automation triggers parallel runs and waits for results.json output files. Automatically aggregates metrics, identifies the best-performing run, and sends a Slack digest. Failed runs are detected via exit codes; Smart Automation retries with adjusted parameters.

Data Preprocessing at Scale

Raw datasets too large for local machines are uploaded to a high-RAM server via Agentic API. Smart Automation executes Pandas/Polars/Spark preprocessing scripts remotely. Processed feature matrices are downloaded back and fed into downstream training pipelines.

ML Model Serving & Health Monitoring

Smart Automation pings inference endpoints on a schedule and checks response latency. If latency exceeds threshold, Agentic API restarts the serving process. Weekly: a drift evaluation script runs on the serving machine; the report is downloaded and archived.

Vector Embedding Generation

Upload text corpora to a machine with a local embedding model via Agentic API. Smart Automation runs the embedding generation script at zero token cost after setup. Output .npy or .parquet files are transferred back for indexing in a vector database.

Model Deployment Pipeline

Smart Automation stages new model artifacts to a staging machine via Agentic API, runs smoke tests, and on success promotes to the production inference endpoint. Rollback is pre-staged if health checks fail post-deploy.
